Kinosaki Onsen (Kinosaki Onsen) maintains the taste of a hot spring area that suits Yukata. It is a unique community that is "one big inn in the whole town". The station is the entrance, the road is the hallway, the hotel is a room, the souvenir shop is a shop, and the outdoor bath is a large public bath. The guests go to seven extra hot springs in yukata, buy souvenirs along the way, play games, and fill their belly. Without revitalizing the town and without the prosperity of the hotel, the town has come together and overcome many difficulties. Since its establishment at the end of the Edo period in Kinosaki Onsen, “Nishimuraya” has connected the era with Meiji, Taisho, Showa, Heisei and the town. This time, I will introduce the parent company, Nishimuraya Main Building.
Cool Japanese architecture "Nishimuraya Honkan"
The Nishimuraya Main Building is a 3-story wooden Japanese-style house with a tiled roof. There is a separate building by Masaya Hirata, which is a series of buildings surrounding a Japanese garden, and incorporating the tastes of the great architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
There are 34 rooms with different designs.
In addition to the architectural techniques and designs seen here and there in the guest rooms, from the entrance and the lobby to the corridors, the ceilings and walls of the stairs, etc., it is an inn that loves architecture and interiors.
Lobby is blessed with green.
There is also an exhibition of paintings, pottery and folk art items donated by artists and celebrities who have been behind Nishimuraya, and of course the hospitality and cuisine are excellent.
From the menu of early summer. The rare but luxurious combination of lightly roasted aged Tajima beef and Sanriku's fresh sea urchin is twice as good, three times more delicious!
A meal filled with local vegetables for the seafood of the Sea of Japan, including winter crabs, and Tajima beef (brand-name Japanese beef). Hot spring bathing in the public bath. It may be an interesting experience to enjoy architecture and installation as well as touch Japanese culture from the perspective of foreigners.
A large outdoor bath with a toya-style open-air bath and fragrant smoke. The hot spring which is equally distributed from the joint source depending on the size of the accommodation, is a weak salt spring where the body warms up well.
