For 10 days from July 3, 2018, a special photo exhibition "Tenhei no paradise, Todaiji Temple and Shokurain" will be held. The venue is the Honbo large hall in the precinct of the world heritage "Todai-ji". It is the first time that a photo exhibition is held at this place.
Why a photo exhibition at Todaiji Temple?
Kazuyoshi Miyoshi is a photographer who keeps shooting "paradise" around the world. We have been living in Nara since autumn 2017 for the special exhibition “Todai-ji Temple and the prayers of people who supported the reconstruction of Tohoku” being held at the Tohoku History Museum from April 28, 2018. It was decided to be held in Honbo in order to introduce more people to the face of Todai-ji Temple that could only be photographed because of such Miyoshi.
Luxury display contents!
State of the torch
A variety of exhibition contents, including the landscape and Buddha statues in the grounds of Todaiji Temple, the state of water collection at Todaiji annual events, and works featuring "Shokurain Treasure". It is structured to be able to see the precious figure of Todai-ji Temple which can not usually be seen.
State of water collecting
Works printed on washi paper and display of a Zen style. The unique display method unique to Todaiji Honbo is one of the highlights. Enjoy the charm of Todai-ji Temple in Miyoshi World, which spreads in about 100 tatami!
The work that Miyoshi imagined the world view of the Great War is cosmic!
