A great store that you want to visit for the first time or many times. We collected delicious topics that we would like to enjoy on a trip to Kyoto this fall. This time, we will introduce two shops, “Matsuno Mandori” and “Nakagawa Wheat Store” in Sakyo Ward.
Unagi at a mountain cottage in Kyoto? And "Nabe!"
"Matsuno Tei dormitory"
Speaking of Nanza in Gion, the familiar Matsuba in Nisoba. Do you know that there is also a specialty store "Matsuno" with eel? Rika Matsuno, the first daughter of "Matsuba", entrusted "Matsuba" to his younger brother, and he himself founded "Matsuno" as a "woman in Gion". It is a considerable hobbyist, and it is said that furniture such as a heavy box used for "Matsuno" was heavily sought after private property. Mr. Rika made a design request to Mr. Koji Ueda (Ueda Tsuji), a folk art potter representing Kyoto, and he created it here in the “Matsuno Tei dormitory” hall.
The lobby of the left blow through. I'm also looking forward to seeing furniture that reflects the tastes of the first generation. Right "鰻" design by folk art potter Kenji Ueda
Although originally built as a home, many voices wanted to eat in this space, so it opened about 50 years ago. It is a soup made of salmon that has been devised to be a menu unique to Shohoku that the cold weather becomes severe, and is called "nabe".
The left "Wow soup" that has a rich aroma. The beautiful view of the right building is a bamboo forest
The chopsticks are baked into a cylindrical shape so that the soup can be inhaled in plenty, and Kujo green onions and scraps are added and served in a hot earthen pot. The second generation "Yoshiro Matsuno" (Yoshiro) says, "I use the soup stock that is the basis of the soup extravagantly. That's what I can do because it is a specialty store." The body warms up from the time you eat, the pot of surprise that power comes out well, by all means.

Bread lovers Kyoto people are crazy!
"Nakagawa wheat store"
The number of visitors to Kyoto for visiting bakery shops is increasing in recent years. It is here that the voice of the shop which should be bought is collected by the food "bread" every morning. "Toast ・ Montagne" uses organic strong flour and is formed into a chevron shape for a pleasant, fluffy and fluffy taste.
Toast and Montagne have a reservation. Slightly sweet and tired, I'm afraid I can eat as much
I am convinced by the word of Keisuke Nakagawa, who is the owner of the shop, who imagined "the texture that Japanese people like staple food like rice".
