While foreigners are aware that Kyoto is a treasure trove of Japanese art, it is most surprising that they are not only in the glass case of the museum. There are a lot of things that sleep in the storage for preservation, but because it can be viewed in the space at the time it was created.
Such precious experiences can be found at the Nanji-ji Temple "Kinji-in". What can I see Kano 部屋 Yuyu (Kano Utan Yu) and the younger brother, Nanobu (Nonobu), who drew a crane, look in two rooms facing Kobori Enshu (Kobori Ensh ゅ う) 's Sakai Sansui Garden It can. Furthermore, even cute monkeys with brushes by Toshi Hasegawa! Even if I am not familiar with Japanese art, I am excited about the big names as well, and I don't talk about Nanzenji art without seeing it.
Though it is pressed by the majesty of "Namushi-ji Temple", it is a kind of towering head (in fact, in the case of Nanzen-ji, it is wonderful to see the picture and the garden too!) You can see the dull radiance of the background gold leaf, the filling of the pepper, and the realistic expression of the trunk and branch skins, in a state of focus rather than blurry. Isn't this really?
By the way, there are temples that show photos and temples that can not fit in the frame. "Kinji-in" is the latter. Since visual composition influences the composition of the magazine in the visual-focused Japanese-style Zen, the photogenic Nanzen-ji tends to be the main in the coverage planning around Nanzen-ji. The “Kanji-in” was adopted in the “Kyoto Perfect Guide 100” in the 4th and 5th editions of the “Wakasu 4 / May” issue of 2016, and it has cleared up a bit of my past regret.

In special visits, the drawing pictures of Shoin and "S 猴 r 猴 getsu 図" by Soun are also recommended. The fluffy coats of the gibbons trying to scoop the moon reflected in the water of the pond are strangely realistic. The remains of the Fushimi Momoyama Castle have been transferred, the dry Izumisan Ikesen Garden, the Toshogu Shrine, and the highlights are obvious.
