    まるで日本版『ガリバー旅行記』！異形異風の国を巡る珍道中『風流志道軒伝』
    昔話に出てくるのは海底世界に地下の楽土、それから月世界。どれも魅力的だけど私には行ってみたい場所があって、それが『風流志道軒伝（ふうりゅうしどうけんでん）』に登場する異形異風の国々。旅先は「大人国」に「小人国」。
    あれ、なにかに似ている？　そう『ガリバー旅行記』（作ジョナサン・スウィフト）である。
    しかし『風流志道軒伝』は日本生まれの物語なだけあって、どことなく和の雰囲気が漂う。旅人の名は、浅之進。いざ、浅之進と共に不思議の国を渡り歩いてみよう。

    私たちが知る「清須会議」は創作ばかり！？豊臣秀吉の天下取りへと繋がった、話し合いの真実とは
    「清須会議」というと、どんな場面を思い浮かべるだろう。3歳の幼子・三法師（さんぽうし）を抱いた羽柴秀吉に織田家の家老たちが平伏し（アイキャッチ画像を参照）、それを契機に秀吉が実質的に織田家を乗っ取り、以降、天下取りへとひた走っていく――そうしたイメージを想起する方が多いのではないだろうか。だが、このよく知られた「物語」は、実は創作も含まれているらしい。本当の清須会議とはどのような経緯で開催され、何を話し合われたのかを追っていきたい。

    Beloved Objects Born and Living in the Climate of Okinawa. Lacquerware by Mokushikkou Tokeshi
    Yanagi Muneyoshi (柳宗悦) praised the beauty of handcrafts—such as dyeing and weaving, lacquerware, and pottery—born from the collaborative work of the ordinary people of Okinawa as ‘the cultural wealth of Ryukyu, the region's ancient kingdom’, and this beauty is still being passed down by various hands today. Therefore, in search of the encounter between ‘cutting-edge craftsmanship’ and ‘beautiful things preserved by people across generations’, I travelled around the main island of Okinawa. The journey begins at the workshop of the popular artisan duo Mokushikkou Tokeshi (木漆工とけし), who are enlivening the Mingei Folk art world. We will explore the reasons why this duo, who create lacquerware and woodwork deeply rooted in the natural heritage of Okinawa, is so widely embraced.

    The spirit of omotenashi: Inside Aman Kyoto’s “Senkutsú”, Secret Forest Teahouse
    Nestled in the forest of Rakuhoku (洛北), Kyoto, a teahouse featuring Sukiyakenchiku (数寄屋建築) architecture has newly opened it's doors at Aman Kyoto (アマン京都). Named 'Senkutsu' (仙窟) by Sen Soshitsu (千宗室), the 16th-generation Grand Master of the Urasenke (裏千家) school of tea ceremony, it is situated beyond a moss-covered, massive stone-paved path. Located in an exceptionally quiet spot even within the grounds, it brings a renewed sense of tranquillity and an air of tradition to the forest garden.

    ふたりの菊之丞が語る「綺麗事」 落語家･古今亭菊之丞×日本舞踊家･尾上菊之丞、伝統文化の“隣の芝生”
    座布団に座り、喋りで聞かせる落語。音曲にあわせ、身体でみせる日本舞踊。日本の伝統芸能の中でも異なるジャンルで、同じ「菊之丞」の名前をもつ、落語家の古今亭菊之丞（ここんてい・きくのじょう）さんと、日本舞踊家の尾上菊之丞（おのえ・きくのじょう）さんに、お話を伺いました。古今亭菊之丞さんを「師匠」、尾上菊之丞さんを「家元」とお呼びして、お互いの芸能への印象や、芸への思いをお話しいただきました。

    戦国きっての悪役令嬢？秀吉が溺愛した年下妻・茶々（淀殿）の悲しき素顔
    茶々（ちゃちゃ）・別名淀殿（よどどの）は、織田信長の姪で豊臣秀吉の側室。なかなか実子に恵まれなかった晩年の秀吉に待望の男子、のちの豊臣秀頼（ひでより）を授けて、跡取りの母として正妻の寧々（ねね）に次ぐ地位を得ました。

    茶々は気が強く浅はかで、淫乱。豊臣家を滅ぼした悪女として有名です。しかし、茶々にまつわる悪評のほとんどは、後世の創作であることがわかっています。

    NHKの大河ドラマ『豊臣兄弟！』では、秀吉が溺愛した年下の妻をアイドルグループ乃木坂46の井上 和（いのうえ なぎ）さんが演じ、その愛らしい扮装が話題です。

    令和に描かれる、新しい「茶々」像が注目されます。

    47人の義士が、主君のために討ち入りする史実から生まれた『仮名手本忠臣蔵（かなでほんちゅうしんぐら）』。竹本織太夫さんは、2026年9月文楽東京公演で、この演目の「早野勘平腹切の段」を語ります。大阪府箕面市に、勘平のモデルで、48人目の義士と伝わる人物の旧邸があると知り、織太夫さんと向かいました。

    信長が認めた、織田一門の若き実力者。津田信澄の生涯
    2026年NHK大河ドラマ『豊臣兄弟！』では、小栗旬（おぐり しゅん）さんが演じる織田信長（おだ のぶなが）の思い出の中に登場する、信長の弟・信勝（のぶかつ）。信長の回想ではその絆と壮絶な最期が繰り返されていて、視聴者にとっても印象が強い人物ではないでしょうか。

    その信勝の嫡男に当たるのが、今回ご紹介する津田信澄（つだ のぶずみ）。『豊臣兄弟！』では緒形敦（おがた あつし）さんが演じます。

    職場での煮詰まった会議で、ちょっとした小噺が場を和ませることがあります。実はこれ、戦国時代も同様で、戦場を渡り歩き、緊張を強いられていた武将たちの心をほっとひと息つかせ、士気を高めたといわれた夜話（やわ）があるのです。これらを語ったのは武将に仕えた側近の御伽衆（おとぎしゅう）と呼ばれる人々でした。
